so adsense is all about keywords?

well there sure are some keywords that help you get better clickthrough rates and thus more cash through google. how do I know about it? well not too sure. run a search on google and you have people claiming earnings of $500 a month using there keywords.

Now my question is that say we use the so called keywords “answering service,” “business web hosting,” “consumer credit counseling,” “incorporate,” “laser hair removal,” “network monitoring,” “refinance,” “search engine marketing,” and “ yahoo web hosting” etc.....unless somebody clicks on them will I make money.

Or say you have a strange affinity for mesothelioma prognosis then you may blog about it and have people coming to your site and clicking through it.

Will this make you enough money? we need to wait and see.

We are still number one. And just don't take our word for it Google, Yahoo & Msn equally proclaim as the no.1 one site to explode blog traffic. It is no surprise that when we claimed in December 2004 that we were no.1 we knew we were going to stay that way and that is what is happenned for the past months.

So what is the secret behind it all. For one, it is the search engine optimization or SEO techniques that we have been using here on our site to increase blog traffic. We have maintained our status as the top blog to explode blog traffic. We have been discussing various techiniques to drive more quality traffic to your blog.

We do however apologize that we havent been able to update this blog frequently in the past, we however hope to change all that with our new techniques to not only maximise traffic on your blogs but also to earn revenue from those blogs as well.

For those of you who have been reading this blog and do feel that its been a while since i have put something up here.....well you're right!!!. It has been a while since I put up something up here! I Have been quite busy travelling around Southeast Asia( we do need some blogging tips from people from that side of the world too).

By the way, I will try to be a bit more regular in my posting from now on. But before we start, i do have a request for my readers. Do you people have google serving you ads on your blog?Are you sincerely making any money out of it at all? I personally do think that this might well be the next eyeball scam of the century.

So please do comment on the above as it can enlighten me and lighten the heavy research (read that as waiting for your comments) that i am currently undertaking.

ok.......I cannot hold it any longer.

Well.....to actually look at it, what right do i have to give blog traffic tips. Have u wondered who i was and why i would be giving these tips and strategies, more importantly how i learned these so called top strategies and posting them authoritatively as the Coach ( i think that was a dead giveaway...the name).

Anyways, i have enormous hits and to top it all, links from actual blog traffic experts. As the wise men once said, the experts have a knack of missing the obvious.

For all those who actually implemented stuff written on these pages (all of those concoted over sips of coffee and trips to my toilet....) well here's wishing you the best.

When Short is Sweet

I am not a very tall person mind you, and i prefer to be called "vertically challenged" than shorty. However there's one more place where its better to be short and that is on your blog. Yep, most people browsing through blogs just look at the huge blog and they are like "If somebody had to write this much, then he/she would have nothing else to do, so this post ain't gonna be that good anyways.......( okay if not most atleast a lot..)

So if you want people to read through your posts ensure that atleast your top most post is short, so they can sample your stuff easily and if you are good......then the rest is history!

How to Explode Blog Traffic (Part II)

Most of you might have read Part I of this article on my blog Bloghit.blogspot.com

In this article I wish to add a few more tips and strategies to explode blog traffic on your blog. Read them and use them at your own risk to attain unexplainable traffic to your blog.

1. Get more Eyeballs to your site.
Simple Logic. The more people see your blog, more are the chances of somebody actually liking and posting a link to it. Mind you, half of my inbound traffic comes from other blogs that are linked to me. How do you do it? Well, for starters I suggest you try BlogExplosion. Though they promise you generous traffic, the actual amount of people who really read your blog are few, but what the heck, its still more exposure.

2. Categorize.
Agreed that you can write good stuff, even lots of it, but the truth is not everybody likes to read everything. Make sure you have different categories for your posts. This helps people to find stuff they like and want to came back.

3. When Headlines do matter.
These aren't the lines on your forehead when you don't see people visiting your blog, what I'm talking about is actual headlines in the news. Yeah, try posting posts that have current media frenzy topics as the subject. As search engines scour the web, they would pick your site as a relevant match and will index you more often.

4. Interactive Addons.
Get interactive stuff on your blog like polls, quizzes, ratings....the works. However, make sure they are simple with choices to make and takes the least amount of time (People shouldn't be calculating E=(MC*MC) for every poll you have.

Also don't have a poll that asks,
I don't normally participate in online polls.
Yes.
No.

5. Get Visitors to work for you.
Invent activities like nominations, games etc. where your online audience can participate. You can give away prizes, but if you are not in the mood an award will suffice (remember, people will do anything for awards).

6. Search Engine optimization.
Please ensure your title, description and your keywords (in the meta tags) have your blog theme in common. This not only gives you a higher ranking in searches but is the first rule of site optimization. Also don't forget to periodically submit your blogs to the major search engines such as google, yahoo, Dmoz.

Well, so you managed to get them on to your site, but how do you make them stay longer especially the Blogexplosion team?

There isn't a surefire answer, but as usual some tips.

First, Content.

Then, Content. Keep them in short interesting paragraphs.

You heard a lot about content by know so lets get into the details.

Get the colors moving, yeah change your layout or atleast your colors once in a while, this makes it look like your blog is having a makeover and will force people to stay.
Get attractive stuff on your blog, stuff like tagboards, cool tools, info stuff on users etc. Most bloggers are no tech experts, and are amazed by stuff like this and they stay longer to check these stuff out.
You can even get your blog a personality stuff like these are liked by first time visitors and they stay on.
Get personal on your site, people want to know what you can contribute so they more orginal stuff you have the better.
Just one final word, people surf blogs to learn something new, to pass on time, to feel better etc, so when you write stuff (not necessarily every word but keep in mind) that you contribute to educate, to motivate, to humor and to exploit your creativity. Blog for the spirit of blogging, don't make it look like you are forced to maintain a blog.

To link or not to link and thats a question!

Yeah, we come back to familiar territory....Links. Do they work? How do they work? Are they worth it?

The answer to the above questions is yes and in a lot more ways than you can imagine. Links are your signposts for getting more traffic. You are piggybacking on another blog's traffic to get some to your own. Is it good? Yes if the gesture is reciprocated, that way everybody stands to gain.

However do keep in mind, blogrolling and other link software may get you traffic from blogs on other sites, but they sadly not traffic from search engines, cause search engines do not read through javascript, which unfortunately is how blog roll and the like work. So if you want your blog to get better rankings on search engines, then please ask for hypertext links to your site.....and don't forget to return the favour.

You may start by adding a link on your blog and then requesting the favour, please be patient as most bloggers, i do understand are busy people.

Another easy way out is commenting. Yeah its pretty simple, you read a blog you like add a legitimate comment and a link to your blog, that way everybody is happy. But please don't spam comments like there's no tomorrow. Be legitimate and everything else will fall in place.

This tip I like best, write great stuff and people will find you and link to you, like a couple of bloggers who have linked to me and i really do love that, and as my sign of appreciation i really am adding their links here Priya Shah and Deek Deekster. Thank you.

These links do go a long way in getting you great traffic. Just type in "Explode Blog traffic" on yahoo.com or "increase blog traffic" and just see the top two results you get. Trust me you wouldn't be surprised.

Why am I writing about articles?, well for one its my job and then its free, easy and boosts your site image. Yeah most of you have read about articles and the power they have to drive traffic to your site.

Articles, if offered as free to publish content, will automatically make its way to places you would have thought it impossible to go, and because your bio is attached to it, it means that where your articles go, you go too. And all this is free. The better your article, the more people read it, pass it on, and visit the source of the content, your site.

Personally i do feel that writing articles is your small way of saying thanks to the internet. Face it at some point in our lives the web has been used by us for free, be it free email, chat, personal homepages or even information search. By contributing to this evergrowing community we are helping others just as we were helped. Now do not mistake me for a preacher, i just got a bit emotional.

Writing articles is easy, provided you have atleast a slight inclination towards writing, and all of us are blessed with some kind of information regarding something that the majority of the population is unaware of. So what are you waiting for? Start writing.

Couple of pointers however,

# Make sure you write content that is easily understood by people and maintains their interest. You may sure know about how to extract Gold from goat urine, but i'm not sure others would. Hence if you want people to be drawn to your site, firstly write about something that concerns your website, and secondly write keeping in mind your potential website visitors.

# Write such that even a kid would understand, remember, that means the scholar would automatically understand.

# Read articles that are most read. This would give you a better idea as to how to opimize your article to attract maximum viewership.

# Title is KING
Make sure you have an attractive or even preposterous title. But it has to grab attention. Most of the time your article is presented only by your title. If your title captures attention your article gets read.

# Submit it to as many possible sources as you can. This would ensure the reach of the article, the more the better.

How to Explode Blog Traffic!!!

Rule #2. Read on

To be very frank there are quite a bit of so called tried and tested ways to increase you blog traffic, but these merely focus on increasing hits on your blog, but do not focus on the main reason why you want more traffic viz. to read what you write and keep coming back for more.

Sites such as Blogexplosion.com do deliver on their hits, but sadly most of these hits stay for a maximum of 30 secs only, after which they click on the next blog to increase their traffic.
That brings us back to the topic, What can really be done? Is there a way out? How do i make myself heard above the din?

Well, here are some tips for starters.

1. Write. Write stuff. Write stuff people like to read.Most often blogs end up being abused by people who think the world is waiting to know what happens to them every second (I don't deny them this right...they have it!), however the same thing can be presented in a way that forces the reader to continue reading. Simple check! read as though you didn't write it. Funny? worth posting? go ahead post.

2. Make friends.I don't mean going around shaking hands with people and expect a sudden spurt in your traffic, instead post reciprocal links on your blog. Yes people do read others links and if you are there, people will visit your blog. Its an easy way to piggyback on some good blogs.

3. Articles!!!!Take some of your posts, tweak them a bit, add a snazzy caption and Presto! you have your own article ready. Now take that article and post it all around you (on the net please....i don't expect people to walk around with faces stuck with paper muffling away....thish is smy aaarticle!). There are quite a list of websites that do this.

4. Check your Site title and description ( I think this should have come in second in order....lets just forget the order for now)Get a cool title something that makes people go, "oooohh thats hhhhhhooooootttttttt" (if not that much atleast.......a "i think this might be interesting"). And remember to give a matching description (the funnier the better). This will also help you get better results on search engines.

5. Submit to Blog Search engines.Most people search for blogs not on the major search engines, but on blog search engines. So make sure your blog has been submitted to these engines. The more the merrier. Search on google for blog search engines and submit your blog to all of these.

6. PHOTOS ROCK!!!!Face it, most people do search blogs to see something interesting and what best but a photo to give them a 24million color view of something. Yes photos rock, and they do bring in traffic. It kinda gives a coolness to your site. Its like wearing colors while everyone else is in uniform. Most blogging providers support photoblogging, but if you need a place to host photos photobucket.com is a place as good as any.

7. Get original ! Showing others content may bring people to your site, but it would not make them stay. all they would say is . ...."another smartass trying to keep his blog updated by somebody else's work". So keep the blog original with what you would like to say.

8. Publicize!!!I am not talking about banner exchanges ( not only do give free advertising on your site, you also have to put up with ugly graphics that can be out of place on your beautiful site.) Think up creative ways. Get a bumper sticker on your car, your boss's car, your company delivery truck...the works. Another easier option, get it on your company's email signature or atleast on yours.

9. Evangelize!!! No i am not a religious nut and i'm not expecting you to be one. Write stuff that would make people go on and talk about you without you threatening them or paying them. And refer to "the blog" in common discussions, parties etc.... wherever you find people.

10. Ok so you got so far.......on more important thing.Don't expect to find any of the above on my blog, the only reason being, i don't need to explode my blog traffic !!!!
